Home Visits

We believe that home visiting for the house or bed-bound and the terminally ill is an essential part of general practice. Home visits are, however, very time consuming. It is always appreciated if you can come to the surgery for a consultation whenever possible. If you can’t make it under your own steam then perhaps a relative, friend or neighbour could give you a lift in their car.

Requests for home visits should be made by telephone. A doctor will speak to you to discuss the home visit request.

Please remember that several patients can be seen at the surgery in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
